FUTURE

Although Dead Meets Lead is released and shipping, the development of the product hasn’t come to a halt. We are currently looking at several different routes and possibilities with the project.

Please note that this is not a list of “in development” features. This list only serves as a reference for possible future developments of DML.

New Content

During the development there were loads of ideas that we didn’t have time to realize, such as; new weapons and levels (there are tons of both that we would like to do), new characters, enemies, abilities etc. The gameplay of Dead Meets Lead offers a lot of possibilities and we’re interested in exploring what we can do with this, by developing and releasing new downloadable content (DLC) for Dead Meets Lead.

CO-OP and Multiplayer

Kill zombies with your friend, or killing your friends yourself? Well, we probably don’t have to say anything more than that, it’s a dead giveaway that multiplayer would be a fun thing to do.

Editor

The editor for Dead Meets Lead is very agile and versatile, and we are looking into the possibility of sharing it with our fans, for custom-made maps. However, there are a few things we would like to improve before we could release it to the public.

Mods and Plugins SDK

This goes hand in hand with the editor. Create your own maps and write new code for DML. Develop your own weapons, achievements, scripts, game modes and enemies. DML is written in C#/.NET so writing new code is really simple, and people can use their programming language of choice (C#/VB.NET/C++.NET/F#..). The world is your limit when you can write your own custom code.

Custom maps database

This is also connected to the editor. The idea is that you would be able to publish your maps from the editor, straight into a custom maps database. This database can then be accessed directly from the game, where you can download and rate maps.
