We’re happy to announce that DML has now moved into the beta testing phase! We have started sending out beta keys to people in our community, so if you’ve applied to the beta, hurry up and check your email inbox. Not everybody will be able to participate though (we’re thrilled to see that over 800 people applied to the beta!) but with a little bit of luck chances are that you are one amongst them. Don’t despair if you haven’t gotten an email though, there will be additional send-outs later on. And if you haven’t signed up yet, the beta signup is still open, head over here to register.
Good luck to all the beta testers!
It’s about time for a proper progress report for all our fans out there. So, what is really going on with Dead Meets Lead right now?
What’s done.
We have implemented all the maps, all weapons, menus, achievements system and almost every other “subsystem” (including of course the technical ones, such as renderer, physics and AI systems). Basically, we’re at the verge of moving out of alpha, and getting started with the beta testing. We’ve had alpha testers over almost every week for months now, and we’ve learned a lot about what has been good in the game, and we’ve had a chance to fix those things that were not.
We at Keldyn have now applied to participate in the largest Swedish game development competition, Swedish Game Awards. You can find our profile here.
